Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

The most delicious chocolate chip cookies, baked right in one of our beautiful 9″ x 13″ Rectangular Bakers. Try this recipe and you’ll never want to go back to drop cookies!

It’s National Chocolate Chip Day and what better way to celebrate than with the most celebrated chocolate chip treat: Chocolate Chip Cookies! We’ve taken the basic Chocolate Chip Cookie, made it even more delicious (think moist and chewy), and baked it right in our 9×13 Rectangular Baker.  These Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars turned out to be so good, that we’re not sure we will ever go back to dropping rounds of dough on a cookie sheet.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

  1. 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 tablespoon vanilla
  6. 2 cups all purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  8. ½ teaspoon salt
  9. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9” x 13” rectangular baker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt and then add in thirds to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and then spread evenly into prepared 9” x 13” rectangular baker.
  6. Bake for 28-34 minutes, or until the edges turn light golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
