Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hearts

Valentine’s Day is that one special day of the year to really show your S.O., friends, and family members just how much you love and appreciate them. While you may not get along on all other days, we have one important thing you can agree on today: chocolate covered strawberries are delicious.

And you love each other, and everything. But seriously, back to the chocolate.

Nothing really says I love you like chocolate so we whipped up a batch of heart shaped chocolate covered strawberries to really make their hearts sing. Want to go the extra mile? Deliver them to your loved ones in one of our Heart Bowls!

To begin you will need your choice of chocolate (we chose dark chocolate chips), strawberries, toothpicks, a cutting board, parchment paper, and a knife for chopping.

Cut the tops off your strawberries, and then cut them in half.

Here you might need to cut your strawberries a little more with your knife to really give them that heart shape.

Next, put a toothpick through the two halves to keep together.

When all strawberries are heart shaped, dip them in your melted chocolate, then place on a sheet of parchment paper to dry. At this point, you can pull the toothpicks out of the strawberry halves, as the chocolate will bind them together.

Let your tasty treats dry for about an hour, and then they are ready to go!

If you resist eating them all before delivering to your loved ones, then you have officially won Valentine’s Day. Now, go reward yourself with some chocolate 😉
