Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat bottom and sides of a 9” square or round pan with 2 Tbs of butter. Sprinkle bottom with brown sugar.
In a mixing bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Arrange apples in a circular pattern at the bottom of the prepared pan.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin seasoning. Set aside.
With an electric mixer, beat 8 Tbs butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until incorporated. With mixer on low, alternate flour mixture and milk until fully incorporated.
Pour batter over apples and smooth the top.
Bake 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool for at least 30 minutes.
Run a knife along the edge of the pan and invert onto a serving platter. Enjoy!
