The 2016 Color of the Year is – CLARET!
How does Claret fit in the Fiesta family of colors? Quite nicely, we must say. Check out the entire spectrum here: Ivory, Slate, Sage, Claret, Scarlet, Poppy, Tangerine, Sunflower, Lemongrass, Shamrock, Turquoise, Lapis, Cobalt, Paprika, and White.
Claret is a high-fashion color that fills a void in the Fiesta spectrum. If you follow our new color introductions closely, you’ll remember we introduced Sage and Slate in 2015. Claret is a beautiful progression into this sophisticated color palette, but it also mixes well with the more vibrant hues, bringing depth and a complementing accent into the Fiesta palette.
Incidentally, without getting into specifics, Claret is actually quite a difficult color to make. As with anything that’s “high-fashion,” it may not be around for all that long, so we would recommend adding Claret to your Fiesta repertoire while it’s hot off the runway!
You can get your hands on Claret mid-June 2016 at better department stores, .coms, specialty stores, and www.fiestafactorydirect.com.
Are you already working on some creative color combinations in your mind? We know you so well! Be sure to share them with us on Facebook or the comment section below. We’ve been coming up with some ideas here at the factory too!
For those of you who are true Fiesta color connoisseurs and are wondering what Claret looks like in comparison to some of our similarly hued colors of the past, check out our comparison chart below.
At any given time, we are only able to fire 15 colors on our kiln, so we usually have 15 colors on our color spectrum. Thus, we bid our friend Plum a happy retirement late last year. So, get your Plum pieces while you still can at www.fiestafactorydirect.com.
Stay tuned on our Fiesta Dinnerware Facebook page over the next few days where we’re coming to you live from the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago. We’ll be sharing other new product introductions.
And join us on Pinterest tonight, Saturday, March 5, at 7:00 pm Central Standard Time (8:00 pm EST) for a live Fiesta Pinterest Party! We’ll be pinning all sorts of Fiesta photos featuring Claret, as well as other Fiesta favorites. We hope to see you there!
